2 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Specific Support Action – SSA Aim: To contribute actively in the implementation of activities of the Framework Programme, the analysis and dissemination of results or the preparation of future activities: To promote and facilitate the dissemination, transfer, exploitation, assessment and/or broad take-up of past and presents programme results. To contribute to strategic objectives, notably regarding the European research area. To prepare future community RTD activities.

4 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Duration The time necessary to obtain its objectives, typically some months to 2-3 years

6 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Participants Legal entities will primarily be organisations active in the research field:  Enterprises, whatever their size  Research institutes  Universities Other participants that may participate:  Organisations with specific competence in management, dissemination and transfer of knowledge  Potential users and other stakeholders  Specific information and assistance structures, like national contact points

8 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Support activities Organisation of conferences, seminars Performance of studies, analyses, benchmarking, mapping exercises Assessment and monitoring activities Dissemination, transfer and broad take-up of programme results Development of research or innovation strategies Organisation of high level scientific awards and competitions Setting up of working groups and expert groups Operational support Information and communication activities

9 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Consortium management activities Co-ordination of the technical activities of the project The overall contractual, financial and administrative management Communication with the Commission and reporting Co-ordination of knowledge management Overseeing the promotion of gender equality in the project (if relevant) Obtaining audit certificates by each of the participants Maintenance of any consortium agreement Obtaining any financial security when requested

10 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Financial regime Grant to the budget Reimbursement of eligible costs Direct costs and 20% flat rate to cover indirect cost Maximum 100% reimbursement Receipts (project income) deducts of the project budget

12 Danish Agricultural Advisory Service National Centre Food Quality and Safety - 4th Thematic call Objectives of Specific Support Actions in 4th Thematic call: Implement the European Research Area (ERA) Stimulate participation of SME's and participants from third and candidate countries Improve policy support Improve dissemination/ exploitation of results Total indicative budget for SSA in the call: € 8 m. Deadline 8th of February 2006.
