In 1350 the black death plague went from Florence to Europe. Doctors had no idea how to treat it. First medical school were built in this time

Born December 31, 1514 Died October 15, 1564 Dissected human bodies which helped further understand the human anatomy. He wrote many books about his observations. Also wrote the most influential books on human anatomy De Humani Corporis Fabrica Sometimes called the founder of modern human anatomy.

Born 1510 Died 1590 He was the royal surgeon for kings henry 11, Francis 11, Charles the fifth, and Henry the third. He was a leader in surgical techniques and battlefield medicine, especially the treatment of wounds. He was an anatomist and invented several surgical instruments. He also came up with the ligature of arteries (which is closing of an anatomical structure with a piece of thread) during amputation and used it instead of cauterization which could kill patients from shock.

The reformation of the Roman Catholic Church occurred Most of the people in the Renaissance Era are Christian. Most of the art that was created in this era had something to do with the dedication to the church. The church was very powerful

With the appearance of many City states there were an abundance of travelers that brought ideas and many goods to the cities. The economy during the renaissance was booming with art and materials being traded in markets.
