Building a Wall
2
There was a pile of bricks that was going to be built into a wall.
3
A man and his 9 friends were going to help build this wall. There were 10 people all together.
4
The man asked one of his friends to help, then told the other 8 to sit and watch.
5
It took the 2 men a very long time to build the wall. They had to move around all over and do all of the work themselves. The other 8 friends wanted to help, but the 2 men kept doing all of the work. The 8 friends just watched. The men felt tired and frustrated, and no matter how hard they worked, they did not get any faster. The wall took a long, long time to build.
6
The next time these men wanted to build a wall, they decided to ask their 8 friends to help. With all 10 people working together, they were able to complete the wall in much less time. They were less frustrated and less tired. Their work was much faster. It was even fun to build the wall with the help of all 10 people! SUCCESS!
7
There was a pile of letters that was going to be typed into a paragraph.
8
A finger and his 9 friends were going to help type this paragraph. There were 10 fingers all together.
9
