1 YOUNIS Jawad, and WPI HT-7 Proposal for HT-7 Experiment Study of LHW current drive efficiency and volume averaged electron temperature

2 HT-7 The current drive efficiency is one of the most important parameter in non-inductive current drive. The electron temperature dependence of CD efficiency has been suggested by comparing many experimental results in small and medium size machines [1]. Experimental Results have shown that the CD efficiency increases with electron temperature [2]. In 1989 the empirical scaling of the CD efficiency has been found in JT-60 experiments [3] Current drive efficiency ~12 /5+Zeff, where is the volume averaged electron temperature and Zeff is the effective ion charge [1] M.Porkolab, IEEE Transactions on Plasma Sciences,PS-12 (1984)107 [2] V.V. 5 HT-7 We will make use Lower Hybrid Simulation Code (LSC ) to analyze our data numerically, and we try to compare the experimental results with numerical results
