M ATH Number Sense and Algebra Place value and the base ten system Count by tens or hundreds forward and backward from 1 to 1,000 starting at any number. W EEKLY H OMEWORK Monday in their BLUE take home folder. Please make sure the BLUE folder is placed back in the back pack nightly. Due the following Monday. Math Homework will go home NIGHTLY. Please return math homework the following day.

W EEKLY H OMEWORK C ONTINUED READ: You can help your child practice reading. Choose the ways that work best for your child, based on his/her needs and interests. Talk Ask your child to tell you what this book is about Talk about the pictures on each page Read Listen as your child reads the book to you Have your child point under the words as he/she reads If your child is having difficulty with a word, help/her by repeating the word. For example, say, “This is the word big. Now you say it.” If the book appears too difficult, read the book to your child. Write Ask your child to write or draw something about the book.

Birthdays Treat that is passed out Summer birthdays pick an “un-birthday” during the year. Last 20 minutes of the day (3:30) 28 students in our classroom. Healthy? Snack Healthy snack; granola bar, carrot sticks, apple slices, cheese stick, etc Please try no chips or cookies donate an extra box of crackers to share. Thank you.
