What do these signs and symbols represent? 1. Why do we use symbols?
4
How do we find out what symbols mean? We use the KEY. Every map has a key attached to it so tell you what all the symbols represent. Use the key in the back cover of your book to find out what these symbols show. Place of worship with a spire, minaret or tower view point train station deciduous forest

You are going to create a key in your book to show the map symbols that we’re going to use during the unit. To do this you are going to work in PENCIL. Put your pens away NOW 1.Fold your page in half and use your ruler to draw a line down the centre of the page. 2.On the left hand side you have a margin already. On the right hand side you need to draw another margin. It should be about the same size as the one on the left. 3.Now you are going to copy and complete the table on the next slide. You should be aiming to get all the ones written in black done. The red ones are extras.
