Currently consists of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. Effective July 1 st the SEC will be adding University of Missouri and Texas A&M.

Dating back to 2006, the BCS National Championship game has been won by a school from the SEC. 2011 – Alabama defeated LSU 2010 – Auburn defeated Oregon 2009 – Alabama defeated Texas 2008 – Florida defeated Oklahoma 2007 – LSU defeated Ohio State 2006 – Florida defeated Ohio State Slive is in favor of changing the BCS to consist of a playoff between the top four teams, regardless of conference

The SEC is the most widely distributed conference in the nation, with broadcast rights agreements with CBS and ESPN through the year 2023-2024. The SEC Digital Network provides fans with on-demand access to games and hightlights. Sirius/XM Satellite Radio also provides coverage to every SEC football, men’s basketball, and select women’s basketball games through the year 2012
