S EXUAL E XPLOITATION OF W OMEN The term “sexual exploitation” means any actual or attempted abuse of a position of vulnerability, differential power, or trust, for sexual purposes, including, but not limited to, profiting monetarily, socially or politically from the sexual exploitation of another. 5

V IOLENCE A GAINST W OMEN The term “violence against women” means any act of gender-based violence that results in, or is likely to result in, physical, sexual or psychological harm or suffering to women, including threats of such acts, coercion or arbitrary deprivation of liberty, whether occurring in public or in private life 6

C HILD S EXUAL E XPLOITATION Sexual exploitation of children means the use of children under 18 years for the sexual satisfaction of adults. 7

C OMMERCIAL S EXUAL E XPLOITATION The commercial sexual exploitation of a child comprises sexual abuse by the adult and remuneration in cash or kind to the child or a third person or persons. The child is treated as a sexual object and as a commercial object. 8
