Key component - State of the Campus Surveys (2) For issues such as energy, waste, environment, travel institutions are focusing more general awareness raising campaigns than formal training, this is in contrast to health and safety and internal social policy issues There is a lack of awareness about the requirements associated with some environmental related legislation and more than half of institutions have not considered environmental risks to their institution Apart from LPG less than 10% institutions have taken forward any one particular type of alternative energy such as wind turbines, solar panels etc Environmental issues have not been embraced consistently across the sector in the way that internal social policy has been addressed. Institutions lack information and data on environmental performance

Evaluation – engagement/feedback Mailing list - 300 staff in FHE Mailing list - 124 staff in 65 strategic partners (SP) 499 people attended 25 workshops (41% HE, 37% FE, 15% Other, 7% Student) 40 Strategic Partners attended either a CaSPr event or a Topic Support Network – involving 69 different individuals and 89 attendances 32 individual students attending events came from only nine institutions Respondents attributed 135 sustainability improvements to their involvement in CaSPr. The average “overall usefulness” from 21 events was a very high 4.4 out of a maximum of 5
