3. Electrical Circuits Before you start, you should already know that : Circuits will only work if they are complete Switches can be used to control devices in a circuit Metals are good conductors of electricity. Plastics are poor conductors of electricity and good electrical insulators

4. Electrical Circuits In this unit, you will learn : Each componant in a circuit can be drawn using a special symbol There are agreed ways of drawing a circuit and the correct symbols have to be used. If you see a circuit you should be able to draw it using the correct symbols. The brightness of bulbs or speed of motors in a circuit can be changed. If you overload a circuit, it will burn out. Wires are usually covered in plastic because it is an electrical insulator.
