Brown vs. Board of Education Court Decision Happened: May 17, 1954 What it did: stopped segregation in schools

Rosa Parks’ Bus Incident Happened: December 1, 1955 Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man What happened after: stopped segregation on city buses

Little Rock 9 Happened: September of 1957 People involved: Ruby Bridges, Elizabeth Eckford and seven other black students What they did: help break the color barrier in white schools

Civil Rights Act of 1964 Made: July 2, 1964 What it did: grant civil rights to blacks: vote,go to desegregated schools, desegregated public transportation and do any thing a white person can do
