Scenarios Your dean wants to eliminate subject-based courses in favor of a more integrated curriculum. Your school is organizing a department that will specialize in medical education. Management of the physiology course is being transferred outside the department. Promotion and tenure still requires significant teaching, but the number of lecture hours are being reduced. Fewer and fewer students are matriculating with a solid background in physics and chemistry.
