Pre-Reading Assignment Prior to this lesson you should have read chapter 4 in Tackling Tough Issues. Use highlighters, write notes in the margin and other study habits to help you understand, recall and learn this information. It is important for this course, but more than that it is important for the children’s lives you will impact.

Anger Outlets Children need to see adults with proper and appropriate outlets for anger, disappointment and stress. Anger and stress reduction techniques should be used openly in front of children so that they will learn appropriate ways to deal with issues.

Setting Limits Children need limits set for them. There cannot be a sense of chaos. Setting limits allows children to acknowledge right to be angry, hurt, and disappointment using appropriate behaviors.

Control Children can learn also through our behavior and through techniques to develop control of their behavior. Feeling angry is a natural and healthy emotion. Despite the fact that a child may feel anger, they need to learn the proper outlets to control their anger. Finding healthy outlets for their angry feelings.

Work It Out There are many techniques and activities to help children work through their anger. Exercising Hand tracing Games Stop Signs Play Clay Clap and Stomp Families can also help children deal with their anger. 1.Warm & Caring Time 2.Talk 3.Develop Controls 4.Find healthy outlets
