5
Charging poles: the barriers No experience or prior projects Where to place charging points: demand driven How often will they be used No solid businesscase -> income versus costs Too few EV’s per charging pole No mass production yet: higher costs It’s new! Which behavior to expect? Acceptance for the neighbors and other road users Charging versus parking when fully loaded
6
Clean City Logistics: the Barriers Very few usable electric trucks / vans Pilot 19 ton truck Promoting the excisting vans: unknown = unappreciated Few benefits for clean distributers City is very accessible, benefits only by downgrading the accessibility for others The City as a customer can set new standards Extra investment, but who will be the first Agreements with (almost) all logistical partners: Green Deal

Transferability: the lessons learned Locations for charging stations based on ‘Demand Driven Prognoses’ Invest in the charging network, but keep a solid businesscase in mind: -Number of EVs / pole -Search for guaranteed usages of charging poles -Price of the energy Set a balance between charging and parking when fully loaded: -Comfort for user EV versus number of EVs to charge Make it easy to charge -People are willing to drive electric IF there is a charging point -One payment solution for the entire country (and Europe)
