Information Born May 11, 1904 in Spain Died January 23, 1989 Lived most of his life in Spain, France, and the U.S. At age 5, his parents told him he was the reincarnation of his brother. He came to believe this was true. At age 16, Dali’s mother died and his father married Dali’s aunt. In 1929, Dali was thrown out of his house by his father and was disinherited because of a painting he did that his father disapproved of.
