Mid-life Harriet heard her masters talking about selling slaves. Harriet decided she would escape slavery by using the Underground Railroad. This was not an actual railroad, just a journey to free slaves with many stops. Harriet had made it to freedom! While she was free, she thought about her family and friends, and decided she would free them too.
