about a person CELEBRATION ESSAY
2
When you are familiar with your subject, you will be able to share a lot of good details. Observe: Gather details by observing the person. Investigate: What are his/her goals, dreams, attitudes, concerns, pet peeves, hobbies, favorite things? Define: What kind of person are you describing (adult, child, layer, friend)? SOMEONE YOU KNOW WELL HAS IMPACTED YOUR LIFE
3
Describe: List the important physical characteristics, mannerisms, and personality traits making your subject an individual. Notice the way the subject smiles, talks, sits, moves, dresses, or does his/her hair. Recall: Remember things the subject has said or done in the past. It would be interesting to include at least one story that reveals the kind of person the subject is. Compare: Who is he/she like? What object/thing/place/word/sport/plant could he/she be compared to? Analyze: Ask others about your subject. Evaluate: Determine why this person is important to you and to others. SOMEONE YOU KNOW WELL
