Systems Engineering page 3 The Systems Engineering Curriculum l The Systems Engineering coursework consists of 21 hours of core program requirements: SENG 5130 Systems Engineering Processes SENG 5230 Systems Engineering Economics SENG 5231 Concurrent Engineering SENG 5232 Engineering Specialty Integration SENG 5233 Systems Engineering Analysis and Modeling SENG 5330 Risk Management SWEN 5230 Software Project Management3 hours Candidates my choose from interdisciplinary electives and from the analytical or management options need 4 electives SENG 5332 Decision Analysis for Systems Engineering SENG 5334 Human Factors MGMT 5636 Management of Technology MGMT 5638 Managing Technical and Professional People3 hours.

Systems Engineering page 4 The Systems Engineering Capstone or Thesis Elective SENG6837: SYSTEMS ENGINEERING CAPSTONE PROJECT Completion of at least 18 hours of the core curriculum including SENG 5232 and CENG 5232. Students will be grouped into teams to undertake a systems engineering project. Teams will meet on a weekly basis with their faculty mentor to discuss progress. SENG6939: MASTER’S THESIS RESEARCH Prerequisites: Approval of faculty advisor, thesis committee and dean. SENG6969: MASTER’S THESIS RESEARCH Prerequisite: Approval of faculty advisor, thesis committee and dean.
