It is considered a symbol of peaceful communication among all living beings on earth. A number of stone medicine wheels are spread around the plains of Alberta and the United States.

5. WHAT FIRST NATIONS CELEBRATE They celebrate the salmon run. A pow –wow is celebrated almost every week of spring. They celebrate national university day and they get calls each year from family and friends wanting time for a reminder about loved ones, new dancers and to recognize the leaders and to honour the elders and veterans.
