Balornock Primary The journey of the Baton.
2
We arrived at Glasgow City Chambers on an open top bus. We waved our Scotland and India flags. It was fun and exciting!
3
Amy and Luke collected the Baton from the Lord Provost. They had this picture taken on top of the bus, with the boy who designed the Baton. He is a secondary pupil.
4
After out school assembly we all went out into the playground, made a circle and everyone got a chance to pass the baton before it started it’s journey around the other Glasgow schools.
5
Here we all are before the Baton leaves us. Amy, Luke and Mrs McSorley are in the front of the photograph.
6
12 children, one from every class, took the Baton on it’s journey from our school to the next school. The next school was St Catherines. It was fun! We had a piper lead us on the journey. Many people came out to join us!
7
The Baton is nearing the end of the first leg of its journey. Balornock Primary School was very proud to be the first school in Glasgow to carry the Baton.
8
Brooke handed the Baton over to one of the pupils from the receiving school, St Catherines. This was an exciting day for us and a day filled with pride and enjoyment.
