2 Playing the Numbers Game 72% of all Canadians plan to give online this year 3 in 4 Canadians will transact at least one gift online in 2010 Under the age of 35 increases to 9 in 10 Over the age of 65 it becomes 3 in 5

3 Still Playing the Game… 30% of all giving online comes from Generation X, born 1962- 1980; 15% from those born after 1945; and 52% from Baby Boomers (born 1946-1962). 1 in 5 visitors to a non-profit website go specifically to make a donation. The cumulative 5-year value of a donor (acquired offline) who started giving in 2004 is $86 – but that value is $237 for donors acquired online. 26% of offline donors describe themselves as loyal to the causes they support – compared to 41% of online donors.
