Proposal Participants Six “hardware” sites: TACC, NICS, NCSA, PSC, NCAR, IU, each would provide 10 PB capacity for data replicated from other sites over next 4 years Those six plus SDSC form “software” sites: multiple approaches to replication; shaken out over first year By default, all new data written to an archive will be replicated at another consortium member, so that it is stored at two separate sites.
