4 Our mission… to create a welcoming, accessible, affordable and energetic walking program that entices our community to get with the benefits of walking – during the colder, darker months.

9 We are asking for Deep River Council’s support. Not financial support, but rather we are hoping council will embrace the concept that there is value in actively pursuing opportunities that build on community health.

10 We would like to propose that council strike a committee whose mandate is to identify and actively pursue opportunities that build on our community’s health. Aside from healthy outcomes, there are also $ benefits to investing in a healthy future… –Funds and grants are available for communities who engage in health promotion. –Healthy Communities are attractive to live in.
