2 General Tips Location - S:\AdminShared\E4018S01-Esperance SHS\Teaching Staff\VET\WPL Then look in the appropriate year folder Make a shortcut or go to the file. DO NOT MAKE A COPY AND PUT IN YOUR USER AREA!

3 Making a Shortcut Go to file location - S:\AdminShared\E4018S01- Esperance SHS\Teaching Staff\VET\WPL\2013\ Right click on the file – Send to – Desktop (create shortcut)

4 Welcome Page 1.Students button 2.Edit Student Table – getting to the original table – for expert users only 3.Queries – assorted useful lists 4.Reports – hours report will show a total of hours, as well as a calculation of WACE points 1 2 3 4

5 Students Form 1.Student general information 2.Ticks – record which forms etc. are finalised 3.Workplace details – select Workplace then details automatically fill in 4.Comments 5.Hours – add hours for each week of each term. Clicking on the Hours Report will give you the progressive total for the year, as well as a calculation of WACE points 6.Notes – general 12 34 5 6

7 Adding/Editing Employers You need to click on the Employers button on the Welcome Form You cannot add or edit on the Student form The list of employers needs to be accurate: o Update with new information o Add new employers o Look at the current list, there shouldn’t be multiple copies of the same business (i.e. with slight spelling/name differences) o Fill in all the appropriate details – important for mailouts o Check, double check and triple check your spelling! The same applies for other information: o Suburbs o WPL Supervisors

8 Queries Variety of useful queries Additional ones can be created to suit your needs, E.g. Renee’s Mark Sheet

9 My WPL Students 1.Asks for your name 2.Lists only your Students

10 Out and Complete & To DO 1.Useful at beginning of year – who is out, who has completed forms, who is not out 2.You can filter to only show your students 1. Click on a student and have your cursor in the Field 2. Click on Selection Filter

11 Finalising Year 11s and 12s 1.Useful at end of year 2.Again you can filter your group
