4 Introduction Information and Communication Technology (ICT) refers to products that allow usage, manipulation, retrieval, transmittal or storage of information through electronic means ICT tools:  Online applications (Twitter, Flickr, Google Earth, Prezi or FaceBook..etc)  Document processors (Word, Excel, PowerPoint..etc)  Human Computer Interaction (HCI) devices  Personal electronic devices

5  Teaching methods using ICT tools are underdeveloped  Teachers’ awareness and acceptance of ICT tools is limited  Students’ reluctance to accept information received in class is high  Usage of online untrustworthy material is high

6  What are the existing ICT tools that have the greatest potential for improving student learning?  What are the tools that are the most likely to be accepted and preferred among students and teachers?  What are the factors that contribute to teachers’ acceptance of ICT tools?  Identify a strategy to encourage greater usage of ICT tools by teachers?
