2 Punctuation Question marks An inverted question mark (¿) is always placed in the beginning and the end of every question. ¿Cómo estás? Exclamation Points An inverted exclamation point (¡) is always placed in the beginning and the end of every statement ¡ Qué triste!

3 Punctuation Capitalization Use uppercase: At the beginning of sentences With proper nouns but not their adjectives  Perú not peruano With definite articles included in proper names  La Havanna Use lowercase Months, seasons, days of the week (abril, lunes) Official titles (el papa Juan XXIII) Book and film titles: only the first letter is capitalized (Cien años de soledad)
