4 WATERING PLANT IS USUALLY DONE BY INSTALLING SPRINKLER SYSTEM NOT EFFECTIVE WHEN IT COMES TO INDOOR OR SMALL SIZED PLANTS;ALSO TIMER SYSTEM INSTALLED CAUSES WASTAGE OF WATER THEREFORE OUR PROJECT IS ASSEMBLED AND IT IS ABLE TO FUNCTION INDOORS AS IT IS SMALL SIZED OUR AUTOMATIC PLANT WATERING UNIT ALSO DOES NOT FUNCTION BASED ON TIMER SYSTEM INSTEAD WE ARE USING SENSORS/PROBES IN ORDER TO DETECT THE PRESENCE OF WATER IN THE PLANT;IF PRESENT THEN THE WATERING SYSTEM WILL NOT BE ACTIVATED THUS SAVING PRECIOUS WATER.

5  WATERING PLANT HAS BECOME A BURDEN IN TODAY’S MODERN WORLD  THE TIMER SPRINKLER INSTALLED IN IRRIGATION SPRINKLER IS NOT EFFECTIVE  WATER WASTAGE THAT OCCURS USING IRRIGATION SPRINKLER SYSTEM.  IRRIGATION SPRINKLER IS NOT APPLICABLE FOR SMALL POT SIZED PLANTS

6  INSTALLATION OF SENSOR/PROBES SYSTEM WHICH OPERATES BASED ON PRESENCE OF WATER  OUR PROJECT IS MADE SMALL SIZED SO THAT IT CAN BE USED IN DOORS AND ALSO FOR SMALL SIZED POTS  OUR PROJECT IS ALSO MADE IN SMALL SIZE TO MAKE IT PORTABLE.

8 TO WATER SMALL SIZED PLANTS 1. USED IN INDOORS 2. SMALL SIZED PLANTS WHICH IS USED INDOORS FOR DECORATION PUPOSES

9 SMALL SIZED 1. THEREFORE IT IS PORTABLE AND CAN BE CARRIED WAIT US 2. ENABLES IT TO WATER SMALL POT SIZED PLANTS NOT LIKE THE CONVENTIONAL SPRINKLERS

10 INSTALLATION OF SENSOR/PROBES SYSTEM 1. FUCTIONS BASED ON THE PRESENCE OR ABSENCE OF WATER 2. IF WATER IS PRESENT IN THE PLANT THE PUMP WILL NOT ACTIVATE 3. ABSENCE OF WATER, TRIGGERS THE SYTAEM AND ACTIVATES THE PUMPS 4. THE PUMPS WILL KEEP ON SUPPLYING WATER UNTILL THE SAND OF THE PLANT IS WET 5. WHEN THE SANDS ARE WET THEY WILL CONNECT THE PROBES THUS STOPPING THE PUMPS.

11 INSTALLATION OF LED SYSTEM 1. THIS ENABLES THE PLANTS TO RECEIVE LIGHT ENERGY EVEN DURING THE NIGHT 2. THUS THIS ENABLES THE PLANTS TO CONDUCT PHOTOSYNTHESIS EVEN IN THE NIGHT. 3. THE LED FUNCTIONS AS A REPLACEMENT LIGHT SOURCE FOR SUNLIGHT 4. IT HAS A START SWITCH WHICH CAN BE ON IN THE NIGHT TO SUPPLY LIGHT ENERGY TO THE PLANTS.

12  WHEN WE TESTED THE PROJECT WE DISCOVERED THAT THE SENSOR/ PROBES WE WERE USING WERE TOO SENSITIVE  THE PUMP SHOULD BE ON ALL THE TIME THEREFORE IT HAS A HIGH ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION

13 SENSITIVITY 1. TO REDUCE THE SENSITIVITY OF THE SENSOR/PROBES WE PLANNED TO COVER THE PROBES WITH AN INSULATOR AND CUT PORE SIZED HOLES IN ORDER TO REDUCE IT’S SENSITIVITY 2. OTHER THAN THAT, WE ALSO PLANNED THAT WE SHOULD SEPARATE THE PROBES INTO A SEPARATE CONTAINER, WHERE WE WILL USE A SPONGE IN THIS CONTAINER. 3. WHEN THERE IS ENOUGH WATER IN THE POT IT WILL FLOW TO THE DRY SPONGE. WHEN THE SPONGE IS WET IT WILL CONNECT THE PROBES THERFORE SHUTTING DOWN THE PUMP.
