2. 1.1Why did you use a computer? What other systems / resources could you have used? I use a computer because it has spell check which makes it easy if I spell any words wrong. I used PowerPoint because it is easier to get out and I can put more evidence on the slides. A computer is also easier because if I had to do it on paper I would have to draw and it would take longer to write where on the computer I can type faster. I also used a computer because I can type faster than I can write.

3. 1.2What skills did you need to learn in order to use PowerPoint? ​You will need to know how to put audios and videos and pictures on your slide and how to time your slides. When I do the slides I want to look good so I use background and I used animations and hyperlinks so my presentations are looking brilliant. Importing my pictures and my writing. I can change the layout of my PowerPoint so it looks organized. I can move my front to the middle of the slide or the slides. I also had to learn about animations to make my presentation look good and it’s more for children than adults.

4. 1.2What resources did you need to make the presentation successful? When I put audio, sound and I put pictures in my slides it made it more interesting and more interesting and better. When you had more information and more pictures. I use hyperlinks so my presentation looks good. I needed text to be the right size at the right moment just like you will need capitals in places that you want them to do something like and instruction, I used different coloured font like red to stand out and to show the colours of the school. I also used a computer which is a good technical device that I can use really well.

5. 1.4What factors might have affected how well you completed the presentation? (e.g. time / attendance / knowledge of software) ​The factors that could have affected my completion of the work, are the people I may be sitting next that may have been distracting me. Maybe my attendance was poor and may have been late to some of the lessons. I could have been playing games instead of doing my work. I also didn’t do my work because my teacher could have been away and I may have got distracted in lesson. I also didn’t understand how to use the software so it took me longer.

6. 1.6Why did you use PowerPoint to make your presentation? What other software was available? Why did you choose not to use them? I used PowerPoint because it would be easier to section parts of the school that I want to show the new year 7’s like subjects and teachers. I could of used word for this presentation but I would of made it easier. I could of used publisher but that is really for posters which I would of just had to fill the whole poster full of writing instead of photos and words so if I did use publisher it would have been more boring and they wouldn’t of listened or read it. I did kind of use publisher but that was only so that I could get a chart that was made for my PowerPoint. ​I could of used the school website nut there is no videos or anything like that they would be bored and they wouldn’t listen or read it.

7. 2.2Which tools within PowerPoint made it appropriate for your presentation? ​In my presentation I used the animation tool to make my work look neat and to make it look stylish. I also used hyperlinks to make my work look neat and easy to access the website. In my presentation I also used action shapes which makes you move on to the slide and it can also send you back a slide, also you can go to the first slide by clicking on the home button. I used transitions to make my work look stylish and to look like its more for children. I also used the underline tool to show that its important.

8. 1.7Were there any legal constraints or local constraints that changed the way you created your presentation? (e.g. copyright, file sizes, AUP) ​I did take a couple of photos from the internet which I have put onto my PowerPoint which if you didn’t look up for you wouldn’t know and I also took some photos from a folder which was made for the class which was full of photos that are all about smiths wood like photos from around the school and teachers and pupils however I never put any pupils in my PowerPoint. I di put a video of around the school so that they would have an idea of how big the school is and were they have to go.

9. 2.4What improvements do you think you could do to your presentation? ​Some improvements that I could have done is, for next time I could add more videos and maybe added more sound effects also I cloud of used more animations to make the presentation more appealing to the years 6’s. another thing that I could do is make it it less writing ad more pictures so its easier and nicer for them to read it also makes the school look more friendly.

10. 3.2What improvements do you think you could have done to improve your work rate? (keyboard shortcuts, file names & locations, backups, work after school, templates, planning) ​If we had more time after school we could of probably made it a lot better, also maybe if we had templates to use or other PowerPoints to refer to and improve on them this would of helped a bit, and maybe if we planned before going straight into it we could of made it better because we would of new how to make it better. We could also add more pictures to show what the school is like and it would be easier to look at for the young children it would also look more appealing
