Three examples Ask yourself…. Do these support my character trait? Do you have transition words? If not, add one in to show you are moving from example to example: For exampleFirst For instanceNext In additionFinally

Explanation Does your explanation follow each example? Is it longer than your example? This should only be your thinking….! Does it connect back to your example? Does it explain why your example helps to show the character trait?

Concluding Sentence Does it restate your character trait? Does it explain why Fausto having this character trait was important to the overall story?

Find your weakest explanation… Reword or revise it to make it clearer. Add a thought. You can say something like: This shows Fausto was (character trait) because………

Now edit Is each word in the title of the short story capitalized? Do you have a period at the end of each sentence? Look for spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.

Take out… The words: You Me I For example: “I am writing about Fausto” or “I think..” or “You can see”

Edit Is it double spaced, Times New Roman Font? Does the heading look like this, double spaced? Name English 7 Period October 1, 2014 Character Analysis Paragraph
