 Reptiles, are an evolutionary grade of animals, comprisintoday's turtles, crocodilians, snakes, lizards and tuatara, as well as many extinct groups. A reptile is any amniote (a tetrapod whose egg has an additional membrane, originally to allow them to lay eggs on land) living reptiles have scales and are cold-blooded.

 Snakes are carnivorous reptiles, that can be distinguished from legless lizards by their lack of eyelids and external ears. Like al squamates, snakes are ectothermic.

Crocodiles live throughout the watery tropics of Africa Asia, America and Australia, congregating in freshwater environments in the worlds lakes and rivers. Crocodiles feed on fish, reptiles and mammals, the prey size generally dependent on the size of the crocodile.

 There are 7 living species of Sea Turtles left in the world. The Green, Hawksbill, Leatherback, Flatback, Loggerhead, Kemp Ridley and Olive Ridley are these species.  There are big efforts devoted to sea turtle conservation, but the best way to achieve this is by making people aware of how important is to preserve this unique marine animal.

Lizards are cold-blooded reptiles. Since they cannot make their own body heat, they spend a lot of time out in the sun, staying warm. You will find them on fence posts, rocks, logs, pavement, fences, walls, and many more places.

There are more than 3000 species of lizards, making them the largest group of reptiles. They have dry, scaly skin and clawed feet. Lizard tails are fragile and easily break off. This can be beneficial in that it allows the lizard to escape from predators. Some lizards use their tails to store fat reserves.
