There are a total of 7 irregular shapes that can be made by joining (3 or 4) cubes together. in face-to-face contact. The only one that can be made using just 3 cubes is shown below together with one using 4 cubes. Each of the irregular shapes must contain a corner nook (concavity) unlike the regular shapes shown.
