5 Focus Lesson: Common Values…  Academic Vocabulary  Integrate: to coordinate or unite  Values: principles which people value  Direct Instruction  List of Native American values from do-now.  Anansi story: http://www.jverlin.com/page6/page37/page41/page41.html. http://www.jverlin.com/page6/page37/page41/page41.html  Guided Practice  Preview  Reading: one paragraph at a time  If a Native American value is revealed in the paragraph, take a QNT.  Else proceed to the next paragraph.  Small Groups: QNTs on Native American Values  Divide into small study groups.  Continue reading through 5 paragraphs w. 1 QNT/paragraph.
