3 Don’ts Write out the entire slide/page word-for-word Write nothing Make references that you won’t be able to decipher later Waste your time goofing off

4 Why notes? They are a learning tool and a study tool Point: to be able to look back and review the main points, definitions, and examples of a concept before a quiz, test, or essay.

5 Practice Noun: a person, place, thing, or idea Ex: Sally went to the market. (where is the noun?) Underline Sally, circle it, draw an arrow to her…and also to market draw a picture of a person (stick) and/or a lightbulb These are your references, and for some make this less boring…don’t take advantage of the fact that I'm letting you do this. I just want to help
