2 Adderall Generic Name: Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine Salts
Adderall is a central nervous system stimulant. It affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyperactivity and impulse control. It is used for ADHD, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and narcolepsy.

3 How Adderall works? Schedule II Narcotic, in same class as cocaine, Adderall works by increasing the amount of norepinephrine and dopamine in the brain, the level of alertness, concentration, therefore the overall performance of a person is extremely heightened.

4 Side Effects Common side effects are insomnia, heart palpitations, increase in blood pressure, dry mouth, loss of appetite, and extreme concentration. Students use these effects to their advantage by being able to continuously cram all night without loosing energy or concentration.

5 More Side Effects Pupils dilate. Users lose appetite, are talkative, grouchy and jumpy. Users get a bad complexion; the nose and mouth dry out. Users are either tired or overactive. If taken in high amounts users can get violent.

6 Adderall Overdose Adderall abuse can be quite serious. Not only is highly addictive, but a build up of tolerance produces high risk for heart attacks, strokes, and seizures.

7 Illegal Use Nonmedical use of Adderall is of special interest to Law Enforcement because it is a controlled substance and possession of it is a felony.
