28 credits required English – 4 credits Math – 4 credits Science – 3 credits History– 4 credits World Language/– 2credits* *Note: Not required for graduation, HOWEVER required for admission to a 4 year college Health/PE– 1 credit Electives – 10 credits with a Language 12 without a Language

Air Force JROTC Objectives of JROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals Curriculum and opportunities include: Academic studies in Aerospace Science and Leadership Education Leadership opportunities in the cadet corps organization Team building opportunities Intramural competition Field trips and training opportunities AFJROTC PARTICIPATION INCURS NO MILITARY SERVICE OBLIGATION, EVER!

Athletics Eligibility: To participate, students must be promoted to the next grade, pass 3 out of 4 classes during the previous semester and must have attended not less than 85% of the previous semester. Upcoming Events for Rising Freshmen
April 14-16:High School counselors will be at Parkwood Middle to meet and register rising freshmen for next year’s classes April 14th: Welcome to Parkwood Night! Open to all students and parents Tables will be set up in the student center to showcase all aspects of PWHS life including: extra-curriculars, CTE, athletics, Guidance, PTSO, etc. Begins at 6pm with a Welcome in the Gym August 17th: Freshman Boot Camp A half day event to help freshmen students make a successful transition from middle school to high school.
