2. #ICANN51 Status Update Since London, WG has developed Preliminary Conclusions on additional Charter questions, including: RELAY – forwarding of electronic communications - mandatory if required by ICANN Consensus Policies or RAA; - for all other electronic requests, 1) providers can elect to either forward all subject to reasonable safeguards against spam/abuse or 2) forward all requests pertaining to domain name abuse REVEAL – distinguish between “Publication” in Whois and “Disclosure” to a third party - provide (in terms of service) for both types of reveal and for customer notification, and include clear criteria and mechanisms for reveal requests.

3. #ICANN51 Challenges & Next Steps Need to complete deliberations on Relay & Reveal, including possible models based on types of requestors (e.g., IP, LEA, anti abuse) and need for greater safeguards against Publication Still need to address P/P service provider termination issues Need to consider alignment of the WG’s policy recommendations with accreditation framework being developed by staff o Possible need for an IRT WG on track to issue Initial Report for public comment in early 2015 o WG will complete its work before GNSO PDP on Purpose of gTLD Registration Data/EWG follow up(s)
