 41Filled with compassion, Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. "I am willing," he said. "Be clean!"42Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cured.

Many times, out of Christ’s compassion, he quite simply just helps people where they are at
Mt 14:14 – Jesus compassion healed their sick
Mt 15:32 – Jesus compassion gives them something to eat

8. 3. Bring Hope to heartache
Phil 2:1-4
If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.

Colossians 3:12-14
Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved (he is saying since you have Christ in your hearts, be fully what you profess to believe), clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
