What is my attitude toward the mission of the church and the people of the church?

Wise words from fellow teachers “ No matter where you go, people are still going to be people”. “Don’t give up just start over!” “People are like batteries, sometimes they need to be recharged!”

Some things I have learned from the church in the ten years I’ve been here… Be patient with people. Never count someone out, they may surprise you. Never give up on people. Do not judge motives. Do not assume you know someone when you don’t. You can’t get to know everyone. You can be really wrong about a person. Things are not always as they seem. Do not be critical or harsh, you have enough on your plate with your own sanctification. Do not fight alone.

Connect with others on a frequent basis. Get close to someone in a group. Don’t gossip. Don’t be too extreme or apocalyptic. Treat your wife with the same respect and longsuffering as you give others. Don’t forget your kids.

From God (Ps 86:15 [NKJV]) But You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

(Col 3:12 [NKJV]) Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

(Rom 12:5 [NKJV]) so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Romans 12:10 (NKJV) Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

(Rom 12:16 [NKJV]) Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. (Rom 14:19 [NKJV]) Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.

(Rom 15:7 [NKJV]) Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God. (Rom 15:5 [NKJV]) Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,

1 Corinthians 12: 12 For s as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, t so also is Christ. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many. (1Cor 12:25 [NKJV]) that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.
