The apostle Paul admonished the saints to make application in their lives. Phil. 4:8-9 – meditate on these things 1 Tim. 4:15 – give yourself entirely to them 2 Thess. 2:15 – stand fast, hold the traditions 2 Peter 1:10 – be diligent to make sure 1 Cor. 11:2 – keep the traditions as taught

When the early disciples were confronted with the truth what did they do? John 6:66-68 – “Lord, to whom shall we go?” Acts 26:19 – “I was not disobedient …” Rom. 6:17 – obeyed from the heart Acts 8:4 – they scattered preaching 1 Thess. 1:8 – the word sounded forth Acts 4:20 – “we cannot but speak…”

Or, will you turn aside? Gal. 4:8-9 – What would you return to? 2 Peter 2:20 – What would become entangled in? 2 Tim. 2:4 – Would you go AWOL? Luke 9:62 – What would you look back to? Rev. 2:14-15 – Would you compromise the truth? Rev. 3:15-16 – Is lukewarm enough?

Which direction are you running? 1 Tim. 4:15 – unmistakable progress 2 Tim. 3:14 – continue in the things you learned Heb. 5:12-14 – exercise for discernment 1 Tim. 4:7-8 – exercise toward godliness Matt. 12:33-35 – bear fruit James 1:22-25 – Are you moved to obedience?

So what are you going to do? 1 Cor. 15:58 – you are going to be steadfast and immovable 2 Peter 3:14 – you are going to be diligent to be found without spot and blameless 1 Cor. 16:13 – “quit you like men”
