3 Brain storming – Why are some students lacking motivation? Think of 3 things. What can we do to motivate them? Think of 3 things.

9 In small groups design a wall chart for new teachers on how to motivate students and how to avoid demotivating them.

10 The text book Sticking to a text book too rigidly will demotivate your students. You need to find ways of 1)making the book interesting and relevant 2)differentiating the exercises 3)setting challenging extension activities

11 In small groups find ways of making the text book more relevant to your students. Design some extension activities for the exercises. If your students are from a particular industry or sector (hospitality, construction etc) design some relevant extension activities.
