4 Unitary A form of government in which ALL the power is held by ONE central authority Power is NOT shared between states, countries, or provinces Examples: Saudi Arabia

5 Unitary ALL the power is at the TOP!

6 confederation Voluntary association of independent states They come together for a common purpose and form their own power Together they may have more power than the actual government Examples: None in the Middle East

7 confederation The power is at the bottom!

8 Federal The power is shared and divided A central government and regional authorities usually share and divide this power Examples: Iraq

9 federal The Power is SHARED! National LOCAL
