1 Heath & Sports Challenge By Elise & Reese

2 The skeletal system is the structure that holds your body up while playing. Without it you would have nothing to move or play with. You would be a blob stuck on the ground. This system lets you run and kick while holding your balance. The muscular system provides movement for your body. Your muscles pull on your bones causing them to move. Without your muscular system your would be still as a stature and only gravity could move you. Your muscles receive a signal from your brain every time you want them to move. Even though you won’t be eating while playing the digestive system is still working on food your ate before. It takes a long time for food to be fully digested so your earlier meal will still be traveling through you. This system lets you break down your food so the nutrients can be absorbed while waste is disposed. The Immune system protects your body against infections while playing. It might even be fighting off invader as you run down the field. This is a very important system because it fight off the germs that can make you feel sleepy and unable to run and kick. The circular system brings oxygen to where you need it when you need it. While playing soccer you need to run a lot, without this system you wouldn’t be able. While your playing the nervous system tells you how something is and sends an electrical charge with the information back to your brain. It can tell your brain things like this is cold or this is hard. Without this system you wouldn’t be able to tell temperature and you could burn yourself. This system is very important. The respiratory system lets you breath oxygen in and carbon dioxide out of your lungs. To do this a muscle called the diaphragm contracts and relaxes. Without this system you wouldn’t be able to run or even move. The excretory system filters waste out of the bloodstream and controls how much water is in the body at a time.

3 Without 1 of the systems the whole body would fall apart because each system is linked to another. The heart is part of the muscular system because it is a muscle but it is also part of the circular system because it pumps oxygen filled blood around the body to keep the other muscles working.
