Habitat destruction Habitat destruction- process by which natural habitat is damaged or destroyed Habitat destruction can be caused by clearing forests and pollution. The effects on humans like natural disasters and spread of diseases. The effects on animals and plants is like the clearing of forests which is deforestation. China, India, Malaysia, Japan and Africa is affected by habitat destruction.

4
Erosion Erosion- the movement of rock and soil by wind and water. Erosion is caused when water from irrigations runs off the land and carries some of the soil with it. The effects on it by humans is most farming methods. The effects on it by plants is when soil is eroded and it washes the plants into nearby rivers or is blown away by dust. The effects on it by animals is when the erosion destroy the trees. Asia and Africa is affected by erosion.

Depletion of soil fertility Soil fertility- is the characteristic of soil that supports abundant plant life. It is caused by salinization and pesticides. The effects on humans, animals, and plants because pesticides kill the crops in which the human grows and the insects eat the plants that the animals eat. Ethiopia, Kenya, and Africa is affected by soil fertility.

Depletion of ozone layer Ozone layer- area in the stratosphere where ozone highly concentrated. Chlorofluorocarbons and not getting light from the sun causes depletion in the ozone layer. The effects on humans can cause certain damaging effects to the human body and skin cancer. The effects on plants can interfere with photosynthesis and reduce crop yields. The effects on animals it can reduce populations and genetic mutations among survivors. All the countries are affected by the depletion of ozone layer.

Greenhouse effect Greenhouse effect- process in which gases trap heat near the Earth. It is caused by sunlight and when gases trap heat. The affects on humans, animals and plants without greenhouse effect the Earth would be to cold which mean animals, humans, and plants wouldn’t exist. No countries is affected by greenhouse effect.

Water pollution Water pollution- contamination of water by waste matter or other material that is harmful to organisms that are exposed to the water. Industrialization and rapid human population growth causes water pollution. The affects on the humans is that the human causes some of the pollution by hand. The affects on the animals is that when oil get into the ocean the animals can die out. The affects on plants enter the water through sewage. Africa, India and Kenya is affected by water pollution.
