2 Lorenzo de Zavala Lorenzo de Zavala was Mexican Official when the Revolution broke out . Zavala was a very active Mexican political figure; he collected many Empresario grants that allowed him to settle over 500 families in Texas. He left Santa Anna and joined the Texans and helped draft the Texas Constitution.

3 Sam Houston Sam Houston was one of greatest political figures of Texas. Born in , Sam Houston was very involved in the army from being a secretary to being a general. His force helped him win the battle of San Jacinto.

4 David G Burnett David was the president of Texas for some time during the Texas Revolution. When fighting was ending, Burnett convinced Santa Anna to sign a paper to end the fighting when Santa Anna was captured at the battle of San Jacinto

5 James Bowie James Bowie was a fighter of the Revolution. He was often teamed up with James Fannin to battle. James was going to fight in the Alamo, but he was too sick and died before he had the chance to. Though he was present during warfare and died of bullet wounds to the head, he is remembered today as a Texas hero

6 David Crockett Davy was a frontier legend of Texas (and was known for his great storytelling and hunting). Davy was a congressman originally from Tennessee. He came to Texas to help rejuvenate his political career, and ended up fighting at the battle of the Alamo.

7 James Fannin James Fannin was a leader in the revolution. He helped lead different battles, and surrendered at Goliad. He and his army were executed by Santa Anna's army at Goliad). Fannin was specifically the last to die in capture.

8 Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna
Santa Anna- the number one Mexican leader, as well as a president and dictator; also many times a leader of battles. Santa Anna led his army to Texas and won in the battles of the Alamo and Goliad. However, in San Jacinto he was captured by Sam Houston's army and forced to surrender. Therefore, his cowardly side was shown at that battle.

9 Gen Martin Perfecto de Cós
General Cos was Santa Anna's brother-in-law. He would take over after the Mier y Teran Investigations of the situations in Texas. He would then quit on Santa Anna at the Battle of Goliad.

10 Juan Seguín Juan Seguin was Tejano- meaning he was a Mexican who called Texas his home. He was one who stood beside Sam Houston at the Battle of San Jacinto. He was also the only Tejano to fight alongside Houston.

11 William B Travis Travis commanded the Texas defenders during the Siege and Battle of the Alamo. His Appeal from the Alamo for reinforcements has become an American symbol of unyielding courage and heroism. Although a few reinforcements arrived before the Alamo fell, Travis and over 180 defenders gave their lives for Texas independence on 6 March 1836.

12 Gen. Domingo Ugartechea
He was the main Mexican General in the Battle of Gonzales and the Siege of San Antonio.

13 George Childress He was an author and statesman in Texas.
He was the main author for the Texas Declaration of Independence.

14 Ben Milam Milam joined Texan volunteers in the Goliad Campaign of 1835. Milam was killed by a rifle shot while moving from one position to another during the Siege at Bexar. Three days later, the Mexican forces surrendered and vacated San Antonio.
