7 What is attached to Z-lines? Actin – thin fibers, extend in towards the middle

8 What is in the middle of a sarcomere? Myosin – thick fibers, extend out from the middle A band – dark, middle part of sarcomere that is the entire length of the myosin fibers

9 What is the area of only thin? I band – lighter area that contains ONLY thin fibers, found on ends of sarcomere with Z - line, no overlap of thick and thin fibers

10 What is the area of only thick? H zone – center of A band that contains ONLY thick fibers, no overlap of thick and thin fibers
