Before You Apply, Consider: Size of event (up to 100 people)? Half day or full day event? Live speakers or TED content only?

Basic Host Responsibilities Selecting a venue Choosing a name Inviting Participants Choosing content Creating a website

The Application Process It’s not a competitive process (whew!) Most applications approved as long as they fit the TED guidelines and frameworkapplications Approval usually comes within a 5-10 days Don’t promote your event until your application is approved

Technical Requirements DON’T try to stream talks live Burn to DVD Play from hard drive or flash drive Use Miro player (open source) For live talks, be sure to test audio
