SPW2 Goals Supply classes and functions to perform operations common to all database servers. –Concurrent transactions –Multithread ORB –Cache support Memory Cache File Cache –Remote Proxy –Database reconnection –Client Identification –Statistical data collection (plan to leverage joint working project)

3. SPW3 Status DAN has been in production as of October 2002. –As of p13.0.4 general users are using the DAN based Calibration servers –As of p13.0.8 (end of shutdown) the farm will use DAN based Calibration servers. –Production SAM dbservers and sam_admin use DAN.

4. SPW4 Node/Server Configuration Five linux nodes 2 nodes for Calibration servers –Farms dbservers –User dbservers 1 node for SAM servers 1 backup node 1 development node

5. SPW5 Tasks Complete testing for Proxy servers and move to production – high priority. Reduce the memory footprint of the Calibration dbservers. Investigate the threading lockup. –New version of omniORB and omniORBpy? Display collected statistical data. –Joint working project
