31 SHIPS MOSTLY SAILS ON THE NORTH ATLANTIC. THE MILITARY SHIP SAILS ON THE BALTIC SEA. THE TRAINING SAILING VESSEL SAILS ON ”EUROPE-WATER”.

All 33 Ships do weatherobservations every 6 hour (00, 06, 12 and 18 UTC) All 33 Ships do manual weatherobservations. Total number of ship observations (BBXX) distributed on the GTS in 2006: 8400

PRESSURE AND TEMPERATURE MEASURES BY INSTRUMENTS FROM SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrolocical Institute). WIND AND WATERTEMPERATURE MEASURES BY INSTRUMENTS BELONGING TO THE SHIPS.

DIFFICULTIES 2-3 of our radiationcovers have been destroyed by hard storms this winter. Still no TurboWin on our ships …

CHALLENGES To find out a new smaller radiationcover, which manage to take hard winds but also the shipvibrations better. We think we just have find one … To implement TurboWin. We are waiting for the ships to get Internet which will happened this or next year. To recruite 2 more wessels.
