2. What is the Black Death? The Black death is an epidemic of infectious diseases which spread across parts of Asia and the whole of Europe. It was known to have killed about 30 to 60 percent of the population of Europe during 1348 to 1350.

3. Where did the Black Death Occur? The Black Death was thought to have started in China and followed the silk road to Sicily. From there the black rat fleas carried it on via the Black Rats on merchant’s ships.

4. Who Did The Black Death Affect? The Black Death was known to have reduced the world’s population from 450 million, to 375 and 350 million people by 1400. It took 150 years for Europe’s population to grow to an average amount.

5. How did The Black Death Start? It started of because of the unclean rodents in China, which were carried of to Europe by the merchant ships to Sicily, a place near Italy. From there, it easily spread to the most of Europe and killed over 100 million people.

6. When did the Black Death occur? In 1331, the disease hit China killing 9 tenths of the population. A mysterious illness than ravaged Mongolia which killed The Great Khan and his sons. Then, in 1347, it got to the Black Sea Port, and then spread across Europe.

7. Why was the Black Death Important? The black death is important because is killed 1 third of Europe’s population and 9 tenths of China.
