June 2013 Updates: Hahgoot has oodles of personality...
2
I decided to use the “if you can’t beat them, join them” approach to Hahgoot’s chicken noises stimming, and got her a chicken hat, for those moments when she feels the urge to squawk…
3
We have been going to Blaxland on a Thursday every fortnight and things have been going well with Bec, our new OT. She spent a lot of time playing with Hahgoot and bonding over puppets, which was a great start.
4
Hahgoot finds these trips extremely tiring, and has a great difficulty to walk back the distance from the train station to Alma’s day care and then home. Her great tiredness was not only due to the physical effort, she was actually coming down with a cold but had no idea as she has a limited ability to read her body’s signals.
5
It is very unusual to see Hahgoot having a nap during the day, but she was utterly exhausted...
6
Hahgoot enjoyed great graphic novels from the Penrith library: She read through the whole series about the human body (left: reading about the digestive system) and loved the adventures of spirited Mirka, the demon- slaying Orthodox Jewish girl (right)
7
We read together the book about the brain, as the text involved all the real long words on the topic, which I studied at university... Hahgoot was fascinated as I used it as a discussion point to explain how her brain works differently in some aspects. Right: enjoying the adventures of Supergirl
